• Precise Browser Geolocation: If you explicitly click "Allow" on your browser's location prompt, we capture your precise GPS coordinates.
• No Server-Side Storage: Your location coordinates are processed entirely client-side in your browser. We DO NOT send your GPS coordinates to our servers, nor do we store them in a database, sell them, or track your physical movements.
• Third-Party APIs: To fetch the weather, your coordinates are transmitted to Open-Meteo (for weather data) and BigDataCloud (to convert coordinates into a city name). Please refer to their respective privacy policies regarding API requests.

2. Log Files & Analytics

Like many other websites, Local Weather Update makes use of log files and analytics services. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. This data is used to analyze trends, administer the site, and track user movement around the site in the aggregate. This data is not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

3. Cookies and Web Beacons

We use cookies to store information about visitors' preferences, to record user-specific information on which pages the site visitor accesses or visits, and to personalize or customize our web page content based upon visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.
